Antimicrobial Resistance, One Health Interventions and the Least Restrictive Alternative Principle

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing threat to human, animal, and environmental health. The World Health Organization (WHO) has proposed a One Health policy approach targeting multiple domains. However, Johnson and Matlock argue that One Health policies require special ethical justification due to the least restrictive alternative principle. This article rejects these assumptions, allowing One Health policies to be justified more easily.
